Arsenal is reportedly interested in signing Rennes’s highly rated French defender Jeremy Jacquet.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal has made preliminary contacts to sign the 19-year-old defender of the French club. It will be fun to see if they can finish the deal this summer. If they manage to get rid of the fringe players, they can sign the players in the next few weeks. Plus, they can wait until 2026 to close the deal.

Jacques will be the future
The 19-year-old is a promising young talent who can develop into a major player for Arsenal under proper guidance. Arsenal has performed well with the groom’s talented young players over the years and Jacques will be tempted to join them if the opportunity arises.
This will be an important step in the defender’s career, where he will test himself at the highest level. Playing for a club like Arsenal will allow him to work hard to win the trophy. He will learn from some of the best players in the world at the North London club, which may accelerate his development.
Arsenal has a top-notch defender like William Saliba who can also coach the 19-year-old.
Can Arsenal sign Jeremy Jacquet?
Arsenal certainly has financial efforts to cross the situation and it will be interesting to see if they follow up on the link to the formal proposal to reach a deal completion. If they can sign him with reasonable money, it could be a smart investment in the future.
Arsenal’s transfer market is very active this summer after missing the Premier League title last season. It’s interesting whether they can add the required mass and depth to the side and win big trophys next season.
