It was a tough day for the third round of the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl.
The British star started the day in an even number but created seven birdies in her first 13 holes to shoot the Welsh rankings. However, Hull’s round wasn’t perfect as her willful T-shirt shot a nearly hit Minjee Lee in the fourth tee, who was preparing to kick out on the 17th hole.
“Almost brought Minjee out,” Dame Laura Davies said on the radio.
After the round, Hull and Lee both joke about the near loss along the coastline of Rest Bay.
“Almost killed Miji?” Hull said when a reporter asked her to take them through an offline T-shirt ball. “When I hit it, I yelled to the right, but I said, ‘Wish it was on the serving box,’ That’s right, so that’s OK. I love Minjee. I don’t want to take her out.”
“I’m glad it bounces big because it flies straight for me,” Lee shot four people on Saturday. “Some ladies or men call to the left, so I thought, ‘Oh, that’s not how it comes.’ But it’s exactly what I’m trying to take me out.”

The 29-year-old lost weight and swing speed due to the virus, arrived in Wales hoping to make some noise, but did not believe her game was the best place.
Charley Hull can make a lot of noise on Sunday after Royal Porthcawl’s Moving Day, perhaps leaving Wales missing on her resume.
