Raphinha enjoys Rashford Challenge in Barcelona

Raphinha admits he is looking forward to the challenge of competing with Marcus Rashford this season, saying the English striker’s loan from Manchester United will only enhance the offensive choices of the Catalan club.
Rashford joined a season-long deal earlier this month to join a frontline series that already stars, including Raphinha, rising star Lamine Yamal and experienced forward Robert Lewandowski.
The Brazilian winger made it clear when accepting Diario Sport’s speech that he welcomed the struggle with additions as a starting point.
“When you play with this jersey, you need to be ready for all the games.
“In my opinion, the more we compete, the better. It means one person can help another improve, and if we want to win a championship, that’s the most important thing.”
A record season
Raphinha enjoyed a sensational sport last year, which he described as the best of his career to date. He contributed 34 goals and 25 assists in 56 games in all matches, helping Barcelona secure Laliga’s domestic three-pointers, Copa del Rey and Supercopa of Spain.
The 28-year-old, especially devastating in Europe, won 13 goals in just 14 Champions League games when Hansi Flick’s side reached the semifinals and invested nine in just 14 Champions League games.
“I always try to find the best form in training, gaming, season,” he said. “I tried it last season, it’s better than the last one, and I’ll try it better than the last one in the next season.”
Champions League ambitions
Despite their domestic dominance, Barcelona is still waiting for another Champions League title title – their last success was in 2015. For Rafenha, winning the game has become a personal task.
He admitted: “The Champions League is a personal challenge in my career.”
“It’s also the goal of the club to win our sixth Champions League title. Especially I’ll do everything possible to make it happen. And I’m sure the players are thinking the same.”
The long-term future of Camp Nou
Earlier this summer, Raphinha extended his contract for one year and threw himself into the club until 2028. Asked if he could see himself staying on that date, the Brazilian left the gate.
“If the club is happy with me, I will stay here as much as possible,” he said.
“Obviously, if I see that I’m not performing my best, or I’m not contributing my own contribution anymore, I also know that it’s time to leave.
