The terms of his contract with the Nets have not been disclosed. The Council is a six-foot-6-foot guard with a six-foot wingspan. In his first two seasons, the Council showed his athleticism to the Sixers. In the 2025 NBA Draft, the Nets selected five rookies in the first round. Where will Ricky Council rotate next season?
The council consistency slipped in the second year after 0.375% shooting outside the rookie arc. Despite seeing more game time, his three-point shooting percentage dropped to 0.258%. Ricky Council will never find a unanimous meeting with the Sixers. Brooklyn has given him a new start at the front desk of head coach Jordie Fernandez and the Nets. Signing the Council is a potentially low-risk, high-reward situation.
