Charger beats the Lions and starts the 2025 preseason

In its first game since Super Bowl Lix, Los Angeles Chargers began the 2025 preseason by defeating the Detroit Lions 34-7 in the NFL Hall of Fame game.

The Lions’ turnover was that difference when Detroit put the ball more than five times. Most importantly, they were given eight free throws for a total of 68 yards.

Offensively, these teams are even quite average. The charger earned 261 yards, while the Lions had 197 yards. But the mistakes were paid for Detroit again, which was one-third (20%) of the third and fourth time in this game. Meanwhile, in these cases, Los Angeles is 15 (40%) in Los Angeles.

It was a less ideal start for the Lions, who groped out the opening kickoff and occupied the Chargers on the 28-yard line in Detroit. Six games later, tensions in Los Angeles will be on a fourth down five-yard touchdown pass, giving the Bolt a 7-0 lead.

Psychological error derailed the first few drives of the lion. The fine held forces them to have three points for the first time. Quarterback Kyle Allen then intercepted on back-to-back drives, the first of which was sent back to Detroit’s six-yard line for 60 yards. This led to a touchdown in two games, giving Los Angeles a 14-0 lead.

Chargers fans watched a round of draft pick Omarion Hampton, who passed the ball to only nine yards. Additionally, rookie wide receiver Keandre Lambert-Smith easily received 28 yards in Los Angeles’ second game, completing two catches for a total of 43 yards and touchdowns in the evening.

The Lions finally made it to the board in the second quarter, partly because of running back to Craig Reynolds, who made 34 yards of the Lions’ 60 yards in their fourth game. He also entered the finish area with a three-yard touchdown run, cutting Los Angeles’ lead to 14-7.

Previous third pick and charger substitute quarterback Trey Lance was outstanding as a starter in Los Angeles. He made 20 passes with 120 yards and 2 touchdowns. The second TD brings a 21-7 advantage to the bolt.

Detroit’s mistake extended into the second half when Detroit’s mistake brought the first punt back in the third quarter, which gave Los Angeles a football on the Lions’ five-yard line. However, the Ministry of Defense firmly gave up only the shooting, making it a 24-7 game. The charger will lead 27-7 in the subsequent games.

Detroit’s three-pointer Hendon Hooker replaced Kyle Allen in the second half. However, he didn’t perform much better than Allen, with six pass yards, nine yards and interceptions.

Running back to Kimani Vidal’s charger limits the score, who reached the finish area from two yards, his second touchdown of the night. He finished 37 yards and two TDs with nine goals.

Both teams will stay for at least one week. On August 8, Detroit will face the Atlanta Falcons on the road. Two days later, the charger will host the New Orleans Saints.
