Canadian White Wins Canadian Red in World Youth Summer Showcase – Hockey Writer – World Youth Hockey Championship

The third day of the World Junior Summer Showcase Box takes place on Tuesday, July 29, with only one game on schedule. It’s between the Canadian Red and the Canadian Whites; they do it like the United States and have enough players to split the roster into two teams. The player is expected to be ranked No. 1 in the 2026 NHL admission draft, White in Canada, while Matthew Schaefer, who ranked No. 1 overall this summer, is in the Canadian Red.

Jack Ivankovic is on the Canadian White network, Carter George is on the Canadian red network while other teams watch from the stands. Again, about halfway through the game, the Canadian whites exchanged goalkeepers and brought Josh Ravensbergen. Canadian Red did the same thing and brought Evan Gardner. The traffic started at the start of the game and remained the same throughout the first phase, even as Red Canada scored his first goal.
The second stage was all about the power play, but scored a few goals, while Canada Red led third. Several more goals were added, and the regulations ended 3-3. The game was overtime, which was the end of no-scores, and then the gunfight was planned, which favored Canada White and won 4-3.
Game review
It’s just an exhibition game, but it’s worth a look. The game starts with the speed and flow of the first puck. The drama goes back and forth, with almost no whistle and everything goes well. The first goal was less than four minutes left in the first stage and it went to Canada Red. Michael Hage scored; Sacha Boisvert and Porter Martone assisted him, the only goal of the period.
The second phase is a little different because each team deliberately has the opportunity to play a power match, not the result of a fine. The power went back and forth the entire time, but the Canadian Red was the first person to strike. Marek Vanacker kept waiting in his pipe and then hit one. Eight minutes later, Canadian White responded with their strength to score the goal. Terik Parascak scored; Ryder Ritchie and Tarin Smith assisted him in winning the Canadian Red 2-1. The power continued from there, but it was the only goal to score, which was 2-1 to third place.
Red Canada extended the lead midway through the third stage with Spencer Gill’s goal. Cameron Reid and Brady Martin assisted him with 3-1. Canada White responded 20 seconds later, with Cayden Lindstrom’s powerful match goal. The only assist went to Justin Carbonneau with a 3-2 score. White Canada responded with a goal from Lindstrom in his second game. McKenna and Sam Dickinson assisted him with a 3-3 record. The game reached five minutes of 3-3 overtime, ending the score. They ended the Canadian white gunfight with a gunfight and ended the game with a 4-3 victory.
It will be the only time this week to see Canada split into two teams, and as they move forward, they have only one team to play. All four countries will be held on Wednesday, July 30, with Sweden facing the United States in its first match today and Finland defeating Canada in its second match.
