Golf Business News – Caddies Europe appoints new chief operating officer

Experienced industry professional Calle Carlsson has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of Caddies Europe, a leading multi-course operator with 21 golf facilities in Sweden, Finland and Spain.

Carlsson, who will begin his new role on September 1 and will begin in Spain and Sweden, brings a wide and accomplished international career in the golf industry and will play a key role in the continued growth of Caddies and its subsidiary Golfstar throughout Europe.

The CADDIES group currently includes golf courses, Cloud Golf Club, Toptee Greenkeeping, Företagsgolfen, Smartgolfa, Greenfee Outlet and Golfresan, as well as Golfresan.

Carlsson has held executive roles in golf management for the past two decades. Most recently, he served as Director of Business Development for European Sports Institution 54, headquartered in London and active in nine countries. The 54-year-old founder is widely regarded as the architect behind the LIV golf journey.

Before his tenure at the age of 54, Carlsson was the CEO of the Spanish golf resort Infinitum (formerly Lumine), run by Troon. He also served on Troon’s International Advisory Board.
