There were a lot of games at the TPC Twins’ 3m Open on Sunday: in the FedEx Cup playoffs, Ryder Cup points, and of course the huge salary of the winners.
The 3M Open has a $8.4 million wallet and will provide the winner with a $1.512 million fee.
Akshay Bhatia and Thorbjorn Olesen entered Sunday to tie for the lead with the 18-year-old lead, with four players returning to the under-17: Kurt Kitayama, Takumi Kanaya, Sam Stevens and Jake Knapp.
Below the 16-year-old, there is also a trio that includes Alex Noren, Pierceson Coody and Chris Gotterup. In his last two matches, Gotterup finished third in the Open and won the Genesis Scottish Open.
According to the usual circumstances, the scores for the week are low – a class record set on Thursday (60s below 60) and tied again on Saturday – so Sunday night winners may have to come up with a low 60s figure to get the trophy.
