Bayern Munich agrees to sign Luis Diaz’s £65.5m deal from Liverpool

According to multiple reports, Bayern Munich has agreed to a £65.5 million deal to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool.

The Colombia international said he wanted to leave Anfield and would now sign a four-year contract at Allianz Arena.

Diaz’s move will end three and a half years at Liverpool, where he canceled the Premier League title twice as well as the FA Cup and EFL Cup. He also tasted the defeat in the 2022 Champions League final as the Reds were defeated by Real Madrid.

The striker scored 41 goals for Liverpool in 148 games and hoped to have a similar impact on the Bundesliga title.

After the season, Diaz will be Bayer Leverkusen and will be Bayern’s third signing in the transfer window after he regained the Bundesliga Crown.

Vincent Kompany’s men signed to Tom Bischof, a centre-back from Leverkusen, and Teen midfielder from Hoffenheim. Diaz will help fill the vacancy left by veteran Thomas Muller, who made his debut at the club World Cup this month, ending his 25-year association with Bayern.

Liverpool may replace Diaz with Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes, who is closely related to moving to Anfield.

More relevant, Diaz’s departure is seen as key to Liverpool’s potential plan to hold a UK record for Newcastle star Alexander Isak.

Isak told Newcastle that he was eager to explore opportunities to leave St James Park. Swedish International scored 27 goals in all matches last season, including Wembley’s second, and Newcastle beat Liverpool 2-1 in the EFL Cup to ensure their first domestic trophy is 70 years old.

Newcastle is believed to have even had a conversation about the sale of Isak, which requires a bid of £150 million. Currently, Xipies has insisted that he will not sell it.
