Royals put Jac Caglianone on 10-day injury list

Royals announced this morning that they had released outfielders Jac Caglianone Due to the left hamstring strain, it was on the list of injured 10 days. His active roster will go to outfielders Randal Grichukthe club got it from the Rattlesnake last night.
Caglianone, 22, was sixth in the draft last year and entered the 2025 season, one of the sport’s most popular prospects. He tore the minor leagues apart and after scoring .319/.370/.723 in two-thirds of 12 games, he was promoted to the Grand Slam on June 3 as royals hoped he could provide arm shots for their lagging offense. So far, that’s not the case. Caglianone hit a trivial .147/.205/.280 (30 WRC+) in the first 41 games of his major league career. While his 21.1% strikeout rate isn’t surprising, his clip is just 5.0%, and the shocking .153 Babip. He was eliminated in five home runs, but his .133 ISO is still quite low, especially for slugger.
There are some reasons for optimism in the Kagriaxone figures. That terrible Babip will certainly bring time, despite his poor power, his barrel rate is 12.1%, suggesting that he should be able to generate more electricity in the future, as well, even if he retains the current method. A free-wave method on the plate will certainly help increase his benchmark percentage, but even if he is Caglianone’s figure, he can use the future as a valuable slugger. However, the present future has been put on hold because the pressure from the hamstring will cost him commission for the foreseeable future. A timetable for Caglianone to return has not been determined, but hamstring strains can usually take weeks or even months to recover based on severity.
This means royals may not be able to rely on Kagriaxone as part of their roster until September, and if the stress is severe, even milder people may put him far ahead until mid-August. Fortunately, Kansas City did bring Grichuk into the game last night. He is ready to patrol the right field in today’s lineup and ranks sixth in sixth place, and it’s not shocking to see that he doesn’t have much outfield talent every day with royals. Grichuk’s 99 WRC+ this year may not be enough Corbin Carroll and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. But that still makes him the most productive outfield in the royal lineup. Unless it increases further, Grichuk should have a lot of chances in his time in Kansas City, while Caglianone has only more real chances on the shelf to get normal game time.
