Newcastle struggles to sign anyone other than Anthony Elanga, and their luck may not change. They have been pursuing new strikers in recent weeks and they have just received mixed news about one of their main goals.

Even before the Alexander Isak Saga, Newcastle was in the market with the forwards rotating with the Swedes. They missed Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike, which turned their attention to Yoane Wissa.

Visa, who scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season, has reached a personal term with Newcastle and wants to join him to fulfill his desire to play in the Champions League. However, it may be difficult to reach an agreement now.

According to TalkSport, Brentford has informed Newcastle that they are not going to sell Wissa this summer and has now rejected a second bid for the Carabao Cup champion, believed to be worth more than £30 million. They also said a deal is only possible if more than £50 million is received.

Brentford’s position greatly angered Visa, who felt the club broke an oral treaty last summer that would leave him for £26m. Therefore, his goal was to refuse training by moving to Newcastle.

Visa made it very clear that he wanted to join the Newcastle Champions League club. He also attracted the interest of Tottenham, although it seems they did not make an offer at this stage. This will be a situation for the rest of the summer, and Brentford is determined to remain firm.
