Experts are called by Graham Potter

West Ham has been struggling with offense this season, but for one expert, there is a suggestion that this could be caused by head coach Graham Potter, who made a pretty bold call on Saturday's disappointing 1-1 win against already a disappointing 1-1 draw with already existing Southampton.

West Ham has worked hard to recruit a prolific striker in recent years. Niclas Fullkrug signed from Borussia Dortmund last summer, but has been significantly underperformed since his arrival, which often leads to Jarrod Bowen and Mohamed Kudus playing more central roles.

Evan Ferguson took a loan from Brighton in January to fix the problem, but it was obvious that Potter didn't see him as that problem.

According to the West Ham area, Sky Sports expert Michael Dawson was confused by Potter's decision not to send Ferguson to Fullkurg, while Ferguson was replaced by midfielder Tomas Soucek.

“Niclas Fullkrug has stood out and you would think Evan Ferguson would be brought on – like a direct exchange. No, come on Tomas Soucek. I think it's all about Evan Ferguson in West Ham.”

It was a tough season for Ferguson. In the first half of the campaign, he struggled to break into the Brighton team, which prompted the winter move to West Ham. But it turned out to be the same unsuccessful.

It's interesting to see what happened to him – probably Leeds United, they're connected with signing him. Until the 2023-24 campaign, he has been considered one of the prospects for top strikers in the Premier League, but this championship is certainly not the one he can have now, but time is right around him.
