Mason Hill claims Manchester United must qualify for Europe next season

Mason Mount said Manchester United’s top priority in the coming season is to secure European football, a disappointing campaign that has taken them from the mainland.

The upcoming season is only the second time since the 1980s, when British clubs were banned in Europe after the disaster at Heisel Stadium and Manchester United won’t compete in the European Championships.

Their 15th Premier League title last semester, coupled with a failure against Tottenham in the Europa League final, means that Old Trafford will have no European nights for the first time since the 2014-15 season.

“Europe is a huge and huge thing for us,” Shan said. “The Champions League will be amazing for us as a group we want to play. But I want to say Europe. I think that’s the point.”

Ruben Amorim’s roster will make a major turn in last season’s performance when they finished 23 points in Nottingham Forest, who won the final European qualifier through the league.

The club has invested in new offensive talent, spending more than £125 million to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

Meanwhile, transfer speculation continues, with Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson both linked to Manchester United.

Reports suggest Alejandro Garnacho may be involved in any potential deal, although club insiders insist that no moving is close, and Villa has made it privately clear that Watkins will not be sold.

Manchester United are currently in the U.S. for the Premier League Summer Tour, lined up against West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton.

Garnacho, along with Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia trained separately at Carrington while the squad travelled.

Real Betis is still interested in bringing Antony back after a productive borrowing spell, and Juventus is following Sancho’s move, although they need to uninstall players before making a formal approach.
