The Sun, the King’s “Concrete Discount”

According to reports Today’s NBA.

Jonathan Kuminga rejects Warriors’ offer

Charania said the free agent deadlock “could last longer than this month” since Kubinga was not interested in the Golden State offer.

Charania added: “He did tell me, although he is absolutely in a hurry to reach a deal with the Warriors right now and he is not accepting their current offer.”

According to Brett Siegel of the clutch point, the Suns quote centers on Grayson Allen.

Charania also reported that the Warriors were not interested in what was provided in the signature deal. This is bad news for Kubinga, because signatures and trade are his tickets in the Bay Area.

Kuminga needs at least $25 million per season

Last month, ESPN’s Bobby Marks reported that in the challenges facing signing the deal, Kubinga “must sign at least three years of contract and guarantee the first season.”

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, Kuminga requires at least $25 million per season, meaning any interested team must get their first-round games through signatures and trades.

As of Thursday, the Brooklyn Nets and the Utah Jazz were the only teams to occupy an aggressive ceiling in the NBA. Brooklyn entered the offseason and was the only team in the league with at least $40 million in cap space.

The Warriors extended $7.9 million in eligibility offer to Kuminga last month, retaining the right to match any offer he signed in restricted free agents.

In 47 games last season (10 games), he averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals while shooting 45.4% from the field.

Kumingga has hope for signing with the Bulls

The Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls are other potential contracted suitors.

Fischer revealed last week that Kuminga and his camp are hopeful about the Bulls’ signing situation. The signature trade may not happen until Chicago can negotiate a new deal for Josh Giddey.

Giddey is also a restricted free agent looking for a $150 million deal similar to Orlando Magic defender Jalen Suggs. The contract will be offered to the four-year $30 million a year.

With all the factors in mind, it seems that no team is willing to pay Kubinga what he wants.

“We’re trying to take responsibility,” the Warriors director said. “With the apron and the hard hat and all of that, you can’t just throw money. We still love Jonathan.

“We hope we can find a way to achieve a balance that works for him and us. However, we don’t harm our roster building capabilities now or in the future. We have to be responsible for the way we build our team.”
