The biggest swing error
Golftec provides guidance to thousands of golfers every day – they organize a large database of swings. Although there are many ways to hit the ball, the mistake of ranking number one among high obstacles is easy to point out.
“Bad players tend to swing too much when the club hits golf,” Troye said. “So their path is too far.”
When you have a path that is too far away, you will pass through the golf ball by impact. This is a key ingredient in large fades and slices, and if not fixed, it will steal your distance.
How do you fix it?
If you are someone with a huge road, you are in luck. There is a relatively simple way to solve the problem without any changes.
All you have to do is to be bigger than usual during the backward swing. Then, when you start the hem, try to feel like you shifting your back for longer as you start the lower body transition.
“It really exaggerates the twist you get,” Troye said. “Then when you start to get down, put the club down before you start to spread your shoulders. This will make it easier to keep the club on more roads and avoid those big slices more easily.”
