The 2024-25 season is Jordan Clarkson’s 11th year in the NBA, while the Jazz is the sixth year. The 33-year-old bought a contract with Jazz during the offseason. He then signed a one-year, $3.6 million deal to join New York. Clarkson played 37 games last season and played nine games for Utah. He averaged 16.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
There is a belief around the NBA that the Knicks will use Jordan Clarkson as Jalen Brunson’s backup PG. Tom Thibodeau is no longer the head coach, and the star players in New York are not overworked. Jordan Clarkson is the ideal backup PG in New York. The sixth man in 2021-22 has always been a selfless player. Clarkson never became a full-time starter to be productive in the NBA. He has the ability to play quality minutes on the bench. The veteran defender is the first player, but he can adjust his game when needed.
With Clarkson’s team, the Knicks have solid depth in the backcourt in the 2025-26 season. Jalen Brunson is the first PG, and Mikal Bridges is the SG. Jordan Clarkson and Miles McBride will be in New York with sophomore pro Tyler Kolek. During the offseason, the Knicks’ minimum contract is issued with one veteran left.
