The Sun is not for Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Al Horford

Phoenix Suns reportedly do not have radars for veteran free agents Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook or Al Horford, league sources told Republic of Arizona.
Paul revealed last month that Paul was interested in the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Suns because he wanted to be close to his family living in Los Angeles.
The 6-foot Paul will enter his 21st NBA season, spending six seasons with the Clippers (2011-17) and playing three with the Suns (2020-23). In the case of Marc Stein, the 12th All-Star Game was Phoenix’s goal.
Stein and Jake Fischer reported last month that the Suns would consider signing Paul if Tyus Jones leaves free agents. Jones eventually signed a contract with the Orlando Magic.
Paul recently revealed that the 2025-26 season could be his last in the NBA, so he is expected to sign with the title contenders at the Western Conference. The team can be the Lakers or the Clippers.
According to basketball reference, Paul started the game last season in all 82 games with the San Antonio Spurs, averaging 8.8 points, 7.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 28 minutes of games while shooting 42.7% from the field and 37.7% from the deep.
The Sun is not interested in Russell Westbrook
Meanwhile, Westbrook rejected his $3.46 million player choice next season with the Denver Nuggets, and the former MVP is not expected to re-sign with his former team.
In 75 games last season (36 games), Westbrook averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 27.9 minutes per game while shooting 44.9% and shooting 32.3% on the floor.
The former first-rounder is also a three-time leader in the NBA (203), ranking eighth (9,925) and 23rd (26,205) in assists (9,925).
Westbrook performed surgery in May during right-hand surgery to repair multiple ligament tears. During the playoff run in Denver, the two-time NBA scoring champions took root in recording rates.
He is expected to resume full offseason training this summer.
Al Horford expects to sign with the warriors
As for Horford, the 6-foot-9 big man is linked to the Golden State Warriors, who have not added a player since opening the NBA’s free agent negotiation window on June 30. The team has the potential to sign Horford and De’anthony Melton this summer.
In 60 games (42 games) of the Boston Celtics last season, Horford averaged 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 27.7 minutes per game, while the field hit 42.3%, an in-depth 36.3%, and a career-high 89.5%.
Despite its ties to multiple teams, Horford did not rule out retirement.
“Horford’s future is not yet clear,” Boston Global Adam Himmelsbach reported earlier this month. “Horford is taking time while evaluating offers from multiple teams,” said league sources on Monday, but added that the 39-year-old is also considering retirement.”
Although the Suns didn’t pursue Paul, Westbrook or Horford, Stan reported on Sunday that Phoenix had a “recent conversation” with Ben Simmons, and the Celtics were involved. The New York Knicks and the Sacramento Kings are also reported as suitors.
