MLS Archive Collection Returns 10 New Retro Style Adidas Kits

Adidas has officially launched the second wave of its MLS archive collection, bringing back a retro-style third kit to 10 major league football clubs to a bold nod.
This year’s series is a new kit for Charlotte Football Club, Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew, Columbus Federation, Dallas, Minnesota Federation, Nashville SC, New England Revolution, San Jose Earthquake and Seattle Sound.
These designs took enormous inspiration from the late 1990s and early 2000s to embrace an era known for its oversized crests, vibrant color palettes and bold patterns. From the head-back logo to horizontal stripes and high contrast elements, each kit has elicited a unique visual style from the early days of MLS – now reimagined with modern lenses.
Adidas collaborates with each club to create custom designs that blend team heritage with references to retro sports media – including print advertising, catalog shooting and television broadcast aesthetics. While kits tend to be nostalgic in a large proportion, they are 2025 wear and tear, combining modern materials and streetwear appeal.
The collection also includes matching Adidas Gazelle sneakers, retro-style jackets and hats, giving fans and collectors a complete look.
“The third jersey has always been a favorite among our fans, and this series’ view of football nostalgia reflects the league’s commitment to commemorating the unique culture and history that exists in our clubs and communities,” said Rachel Hoagland of MLS Consumer Products.
The 2024 Archives Series debut – a retro kit provided by Inter Miami, La Galaxy, LaFC, Portland Timbers and Sporting Kansas City and has received widespread praise from fans and fashion enthusiasts.
This year’s decline is based on a wider range and even bolder concept, continuing its efforts to connect modern football culture to the league’s unique past. For fans of old-fashioned kits, this is hard to ignore.
The complete MLS archive series is now available via mlstore.com and adidas.com.
