“Stretch out again!” The craziest round of the Open was an adventure

Justin Rose’s third round open title starts in the most frustrating way: fairway, green, three shots, bogey.

But this is just the beginning of his adventure.

Rose, a 44-year-old British man, won the third round in Royal Portrait, which included eight birdies, three bogeys, a double bogey and two seductive calves. Of course, all this led to a third of the under 68 years old, covering the green green on the last 48-foot bird bomb with a rose on top, perhaps joking about how old he was, smiling, arms raised and soaked in the roar of the crowd.

Now, about 68…

After the first bogey, Rose started eight shots by 36-hole leader Scottie Scheffler, five of the next six hit four in the game that day. He suddenly ranked No. 1 in the world in four matches with Scheftler.

He felt it, but it was the 4-8 hole when he drove it to Fescue and brought his second shot to the gallery. Ross was shocked and shouted, “Oh my God!” and then waved around the ball trip, as if an apology. That leads to taboo.

He scored par on 9 and 10, but his horrible calf returned in 11. He drove it to fescue and then grabbed Hoth when invaded.

“I have it again!” Ross said. “Oh, mine-by-by-all!”

That was another bogey. But then he made a little bird. Then three consecutive shots on the 3rd 16th hole and a nasty double bogey. It’s OK, he’s doing well. He sank a 4-foot bird at the age of 17 and then knocked on the 18-year-old long bird putt.

NBC commentator Dan Hicks said: “It’s so crazy.

We agree.

Ross was overall (tying 14th) and Chevret’s nine holdings with 54 holes leading defenders.
