Bottle Opener: Key Series, Wright, Trout

There are three things to follow this weekend.

1. Fringe competitors prepare for their final deadline push:

We have ten non-competitive clubs in 30 games of .500 from 13 days before the 2025 MLB trading deadline and six games in the wildcard berth. The next two weeks of play will be crucial and if any of these bubble clubs stand out from the break, it may make them sell faster. A sweep to any rays, Rangers, Twins, Angels, Royals, Guardians, Giants, Cardinals, Reds, or D-D defenders may be backwards in their season. Each team in the baseball game will start three games series tonight.

Tampa Bay opened a disappointing Oriole club in the second half. Rangers hosted the Major League Baseball Best Tiger. The twins head to Coors Field to take over the Rockies. Angel cuts a tough task in Philadelphia’s highway series. Kansas City is on the road with the Marlins. Guardian presided over A. The Giants will head to Toronto. The Reds will take over the Metropolitans in Queens. The most interesting thing is that the Cardinal and D-backs will balance each other in Arizona, a game that could bring a major deadline.

2. Metropolitan Honors David WrightRetirement his phone number:

Mets will pay tribute to Saturday’s franchise idols when they retire David Wright5th and introduced him to the Metropolitan Hall of Fame. The 42-year-old Wright’s career cut is much shorter than baseball fans (not just metropolitan fans). Neck, shoulder and spinal injuries derailed Wright’s late-stage career and ended his game days when he had two years of contract. From 2016-18 (his last active year), Wright managed to play only 77 games.

Prior to that, Wright was a perennial All-Star, winning multiple gold gloves and silver medals. The top 38 draft pick is the face of Mets franchise over a decade. He made his MLB debut at the age of 21 and ran at the .293/.332/.525 batting line in 283 sets. Wright won the MVP vote for the next four seasons, and although he never won the most valuable player honors, he enjoyed four top ten. Since 2004-14, Wright has ranked one of the best all-around players in the Major League Baseball (MLB). He beat .298/.377/.494 with 230 home runs and 191 steals. Wright’s 50.4 FWAR is fifth in all major leagues (pitchers and batsmen), trailing only Albert Pujols,,,,, Miguel Cabrera,,,,, Chase Utley and Adrian Beltre.

Wright also represents the United States in both the 2009 and 2013 World Baseball Classics, where he is known as a hero and earned the nickname “Captain America.” Wright Brian Roberts and Jimmy Rollins To push the United States to the semi-finals in 2009, he broke his first round showdown with Italy, with the Grand Slam being part of the 2013 Championship performance.

The Mets will host a “barrier party” at Citi Field, which is open to everyone and starts three hours before the start time at 4:10 pm on Saturday. Wright will receive honors at the pre-match ceremony. He will be the 10th largest retirement number in the metropolis.

3. Trout Milestones:

Turn to another franchise icon, Angel Star Mike Trout He has reached some historic round characters in his career. The three-time American League MVP and the 11th All-Star Game sat in 995 games and played 395 home runs. He is likely to be the 308th player in Major League Baseball history, reaching 1,000 RBIs in Philadelphia this weekend. He’s much less likely to hit 400 home runs this weekend – though it’s not impossible for the trout power. However, the trout’s 400th round trip agency may not be far away. He made only 299 sets this season, batting .238/.365/.471 (127 WRC+), and he played 17 long balls in just 299 sets this season. When the Trout does cross the 400 threshold, he will just get to the 59th player there. Along the way, he will pass by Joe Carter (396), Dale Murphy (398), Al Kaline (399), and Andres Galarraga (399).
