Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons this summer.
Both London clubs have kept labels about his situation and players are willing to leave Germany this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea or Arsenal are making a proposal to sign him.
They have been in touch with the players’ actions and they can resume the move in the coming weeks.
Arsenal and Chelsea have been in contact
“At the start of the transfer window, Chelsea and Arsenal were asked to inform the players about the situation. Then, Arsenal decided to invest in several other players. Chelsea is busy with different things. But let’s see that the market is still long because the interest of Chelsea and Arsenal may react in the summer transfer window.”

The 22-year-old Dutch international scored 11 goals last season and scored eight assists. He has the ability to play multiple offensive roles, and Simmons may be an asset to Chelsea or Arsenal.
In the last two-thirds, both clubs need higher quality and depth. Mykhailo Mudryk will be banned in a long stimulant ban, and Noni Madikke is for sale. Chelsea needs more front-line progress, and the 22-year-old will add goal and creativity on the side.
Arsenal needs Xavi Simons
Similarly, Arsenal needs to go deeper in the last third. Gabriel Martinelli was overwhelmed last season and Simons could compete with him for the starting position. He has the ability to operate in a centralized manner, and he will also be a quality backup option for Martin Odegaard.
The Dutch international is a tactical player and he may be an asset to both teams. His youth is enough to improve further and can develop into a future star under the right guidance.
The chance to join some of the world’s largest clubs is difficult for him. Arsenal or Chelsea could help him realize his potential in the near future.
