Tottenham and Newcastle United are interested in signing Liverpool attacker Xavi Elliott during the summer window.
The 22-year-old struggled with Liverpool’s regular game last season and they were ready to provide him with an exit route. The Briton was one of the best players in the game, which was outstanding during the Under-21 euro earlier this summer.
He needs to realize his tremendous potential regularly. Living in Liverpool may be detrimental to his development. Whether Tottenham or Newcastle can complete the deal remains to be seen. According to former Premier League scout Mick Brown, the two clubs will now be linked to his agents with potential moves.
Harvey Elliott is a player in need
“Harvey Elliott has no shortage of interest,” he told football insiders.
“Newcastle and Tottenham are the latest names I’ve heard, and they both will test the waters and see to bring him in.
“They will talk to his agent to find out what he wants and what Liverpool wants.
“And then, he also had Brighton and several clubs in Germany, and looked at him too.
“I think he might be an asset to any club because he is a very talented player.”
Liverpool players need to start over
It will be interesting to see if Elliott is willing to join Tottenham or Newcastle this summer. He is a Liverpool teenager fan, but he needs to keep looking for regular train times. Tottenham or Newcastle will be able to offer Elliott’s regular opportunities. They need more creativity and cutting-edge in the last third. The 22-year-old was able to run in concentration and sideways. His versatility will be an added bonus. He has always been a very useful player at Liverpool, but he needs to join a club that can play regularly.
If he manages to reach his potential, he will have many opportunities to play for elite clubs in the future. Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur will be able to offer Champions League football next season, making them an attractive destination. Elliott is worth £40 million this summer.
