Liverpool chases ‘monster’ £60m

Darwin Nunez attaches great importance to Liverpool. The one who was once called the club record, perhaps the fan base’s preference for Uruguay has made him read for so long. Another personality that follows his path may not receive the same warmth and encouragement.

Of course, he cheated on his first term in the Premier League, hitting only nine goals after Jurgen Klopp was commissioned to play the leading role.

The following year he improved, scoring 32 goals in all games and canceling the Carabao Cup in a year when the club and players resurrected. But there is still something missing.

Arne Slot’s arrival has customized a new chapter, something Nunez needs. However, the 25-year-old is now on sale after his third term in Merseyside, scoring only seven goals last season and has only won the league’s start since Boxing Day.

Sometimes unstoppable; always unpredictable. But Nunez is a maverick even in the inner workings of his own thoughts, who is proven to be a nut that cannot be cracked even on slot machines.

Liverpool needs a new striker. It’s obvious.

Liverpool plans to sign new striker

It was surprising when news broke out on Monday night that Newcastle United wanted to reach a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike.

Liverpool fans may be excited about this, although Ekitike has been one of FSG’s top targets this summer as it creates some doubts about the future of Alexander Isak at St. James Park. Can these two people really live together in units of No. 9?

But the Swedish star is worth £200 million and the Reds may tend to turn their attention to Viktor Gyokeres, who scored 97 goals for Lisbon Sports in two seasons.

Alas, Isaac’s international teammates are tied to Arsenal.

However, Liverpool’s options list range on board is larger than the above, with one of Europe’s most prolific shooters being radar.

Indeed, according to David Ornstein of Track and Field, the list contains Victor Osimhen’s name, Napoli is desperate to step down the Nigeria International this summer. His relationship with Naples clothing broke down, causing the striker to loan to Galatasaray last summer.

Osimhen is believed to be priced at £60m, while Galatasaray strives to seal the 26-year-old with a permanent deal, but Liverpool’s financial and sporting advantages may hold a swing if sports director Richard Hughes wants to bring the benefits to the cargo.

Why Liverpool signs Victor Osimhen

Liverpool knows that Luis Diaz may leave Anfield this summer, and Bayern Munich sees an official proposal being eliminated and the Colombians hope to complete the move.

If he goes, Liverpool will need to sign a high-cost alternative. This makes the Osimhen deals relatively affordable.

Additionally, in Ligue 1, he has proven his years in Ligue 1, and the Italian Top Flying actually won a Serie A in 2022/23, crowning Italian Player Player of the Year after his 26-goal match.

The 27-year-old Gyokerers may have surpassed his African position companion on paper last season, but Osimone still forged an amazing season for himself, and his proof is higher than Arsenal’s new recruiter, who is still older.

In fact, bringing ekitike into the equation as well, you can see that Osimone is indeed probably one in between.

Liverpool’s ostensible advantage in Newcastle’s Ekitic game may have frustrated Liverpool, but the Frenchman is an original and unfinished article, despite the many blank scripts that have written a glowing career for themselves.

But Osimhen has been proven, tried and tested. He is one of the best people in the business, and statistician Statman Dave even announced him as “the best forward in the market” in early 2025.

There is no doubt that signing one of the ekitike or isak is undoubtedly a tempting idea for those who are convinced by Liverpool, but this may not have been achieved.

Even so, Osimhen’s attractions are undoubtedly more complete and accomplished than Ekitike, and have the tools to compete with Newcastle’s Talisman on the English coast.

Liverpool - ekitike-Isak-Premier League

This is what Liverpool needs to be ahead of the curve. Their potential is high. They have invested in Nunes. And now, with the new ranch at Uruguay International, the Reds need someone who can lead with the belief and quality of a world-class player, willing to throw away gloves and challenge Gilk, Isak and Isak and Isak and Erling Haaland to take precious positions.

As analyst Ben Mattinson described, he is the last third of the “monsters” with a strong physical and deceptive approach to moving, indicating his suitability in the Slot system, willingness to swap and create the necessary needs, creating some layered and shifting frontlines that will overwhelm the defender opponents and keep the defender guessing.

It would be a mistake to enter the new season that Nunez is still inserted into Liverpool’s leading forward. Oh, he likes him very much, and sometimes has a messy energy, but if he is going to defend his Premier League title, the ball must be ruthless and this summer can only strengthen the competition. Gyokeres is evidence.

Fortunately, Liverpool’s head coach has undoubtedly struggled for his team’s greater benefit so far.
