Wimbledon 2025 results: Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetova beat Jelena Ostapenko and Hsieh Su-Wei to win women’s doubles

Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetova beat Jelena Ostapenko and Hsieh Su-wei in the Wimbledon Women’s Doubles Final and won their first Grand Slam title.
The eighth seeds Mertens and Kudermetova beat Latvia Taiwan 3-6 6-2 6-4 on the central court on Sunday.
It was the first major champion of Kudermetova, Russia, who lost to Hsieh and Belgium’s Mertens in the Wimbledon women’s doubles final four years ago.
Meanwhile, Mertens won the fifth major women’s doubles title and was only a French Open victory after completing the professional Grand Slam.
“I played in the finals here against Elise a few years ago – I lost, it was so painful,” Kudermetova said.
“Today I said to myself, ‘I really want this’.”
Ostapenko – Winning the 2017 French Open Singles Championship – Hsieh also lost in the Australian Open final in January.
