Liverpool reportedly can prepare to sell French central defender Ibrahima Konate and if he doesn’t sign a new contract, he can prepare to sell him.
Reporter Anton Meana said the Reds appeared to have some approval of Konate’s departure of about €50 million, in which case players would push for negotiations to negotiate with Real Madrid.
Konate has been a key player for Liverpool and they certainly don’t want him to leave, especially since they have had to sell Trent Alexander-Arnold in this window with the sale to Real Madrid.

As we recently reported, Konate rejected Liverpool’s new contract offer and his situation has remained alert.
Sources told us that Konate’s position could accelerate Madrid’s efforts to land Konate, and now it seems they may be heading in that direction.
Marca also reported that the Royal Family was eager to sign Konate to replace the struggling Duo Raul Asencio and Antonio Rudiger.
Meanwhile, Meana said: “If they see that he won’t renew, the Anfield team will put Konate on the market for about €50 million this summer. If that happens, the players will ask for negotiations with Real Madrid.”
Should Liverpool win Konate or be hit?
Different fans will have different opinions on this, but LFC can now make big decisions.
Even if they brought him a transfer fee, losing Konate was a blow, so some might say it was necessary to keep him for another year and then lose him for free at the end of the contract.
On the other hand, it’s better to just accept that Konate no longer wants to join the club and raise some cash to find a replacement as soon as possible.
