Hybrid Golf introduces the Olympics – but who will be the 2028 Los Angeles dream team?

When golf reintroduced to the Olympics in 2016, people were generally disappointed with the lack of mixed team events.
Now, this error has corrected the idea that the International Olympic Executive Committee approved ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
Golf will be held at the Riviera Country Club, with a mix of events ahead of men's and women's competitions.
“We are very pleased to see the mixed team event added to the 2028 plan for Los Angeles,” said Antony Scanlon, executive director of the International Golf Federation.
“Golf has achieved incredible success in Paris in 2024, and as we continue to grow in momentum in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, we are pleased to focus more on our sport through this additional format.
“The athletes are very enthusiastic about their desire to play with their fellow countrymen and we look forward to them playing together in Los Angeles.”
The format will be a 36-hole game with a four-man round and a four-goal round, with a team in each country.
Who will form a team? Well, it all depends on the ranking system, but let's have some fun.
If the game is held next month, these 16 teams will be an exciting combination!
