Wimbledon 2025: Belinda Bencic dreams of defeating Iga Swiatek’s game plan

Bencic is not worried that her sleep will be broken by 14-month-old daughter Bella, who is with her in London.

“It won’t affect my business. [match]. ”

During her time at Wimbledon, she explained: “I first viewed myself as a mom and then a tennis player. My priorities are obviously with my family.”

Almost six years have passed since Bencic’s last four games into the Grand Slam, and eventually lost directly to Bianca Andreescu in the 2019 U.S. Open semifinals.

She said from September 2023 to October 2024, she said she was “surprised” by the arrival of positive results.

Bencic, ranked 489th in the world, is now expected to return to the top 20 in the world after Wimbledon. This year’s success also includes winning the Abu Dhabi WTA 500 title in February.

She said motherhood has had a positive impact on her approach to becoming a professional, making her “more relaxed” and making sure she has less time to think about tennis.
