Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets

As long as the Nuggets have Nikola Jokic, they will become contenders for the Western Conference. The 30-year-old center is widely regarded as the world’s number one basketball player.
No one is close to what Jokic can do for his size and posture. ESPN’s Bobby Marks noted that Jokic will not sign a contract with the Nuggets during the offseason. Instead, he will wait until the 2026 offseason to negotiate with Denver. Max said Jokic could add the assumption’s extension for the fourth year, worth $77 million.

In the 2014 NBA Draft, the Nuggets used a second-round pick to pick Nikola Jokic. In the taco clock ad, he was selected. The three-time MVP Center is considered one of the most important second-round draft picks in league history. During the offseason, Nikola Jokic is eligible to sign with the Nuggets for a three-year, costing $200 million extension. However, Bobby Marks believes the big man has been waiting until the 2026 offseason to get more cash.
If Jokic waits until next summer, he can add his fourth year to a $77 million extension. The seven-time All-Star game was signed for five years in 2022, with a $276 million extension remaining three years. Team President Josh Kroenke said the team fully supports Jokic’s decision until the signing with Denver next year. Before the 2025-26 season, the Nuggets have changed the roster of the West.

Denver separates the road from NBA champion Michael Porter Jr. and the 2032 first-round draft pick in exchange for Brooklyn’s Cam Johnson. Porter Jr. and Johnson are similar players. However, Porter Jr.’s contract is larger than Johnson’s. Getting a salary from books is a victory for the Nuggets. The team hopes that Johnson can step in and replace Porter Jr.’s work.
Additionally, the team traded Dario Saric to the King in exchange for Jonas Valanciunas. In free agent market, the team brought back 2023 champion Bruce Brown and former Piston Tim Hardaway Jr. first-year head coach David Adelman in 2025-26?
