Josh Giddey is still seeking $30 million from the Bulls every season

according to Joe Crowley of Chicago Suntime.
Giddey, who was 23 in October, is seeking a five-year, $150 million contract similar to Orlando Magic Guard Jalen Suggs. Such a deal will give Gidey $30 million a year.
According to KC Johnson of Chicago Sports Network, the Bulls will reach a deal and re-sign him. The team can officially start signing the contract on July 6.
Chicago acquired Gidey in a trade deal that brought Alex Caruso to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Josh Giddey
Giddey, who is 6-foot-8, may get a pay raise this summer as he ended the 2024-25 season with amazing numbers. In 70 games (69 games), he averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.2 steals.
The first round of 2021 players also shot 46.5% from the floor shooting percentage and the highest three-point shooting percentage is 37.8%. He ranked 20th with defensive rebounds (439) and assists (503).
Giddey also posted 30 doubles and 7 triple times.
On March 10, Chicago beat the Indiana Pacers 121-103, he scored a season-high 29 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and a block in a 27-minute action.
Giddey signed a four-year, $2.721 million rookie-scale contract in August 2021. He earned $6.58 million in 2023-24 and earned $8.35 million this season. Both of these salaries are club choices, each Spotrac.
Giddey asks if the NBA can play in the NBL
Gidey said on the Ball Magnet podcast earlier this week that he asked the NBA if he could play semi-pro basketball at home in Australia during the offseason.
“I tried to ask the NBA if I could go home in the offseason to play in the NBL or other leagues. It kept me playing. There was no better way to stay sharp than actually playing basketball.”
NBL1 is Australia’s top semi-chairman, which is run by the NBL, which is the top professional league in Australia and New Zealand.
Giddey was found practicing before a game in Franklin and the Regional Basketball Association on May 5. He reportedly wore his entire uniform, but his team fell 110-84 to the Bennis Boys.
Giddy revealed that his agent, Daniel Moldovan, was “angry” at him and was “unhappy” about the game.
The NBA community can assume that Giddey may not be allowed to participate in the league for fear of injury, but as a restricted free agent, he will not violate any rules.
More than 160 players play in the NBL and NBA.
