Christian Pulisic opens a second “straw ground” facility for underserved youth

Christian Pulisic transforms his love into real-world influence with the launch of a second “Step on the Ground” facility – a vibrant new hub in Culver City, Los Angeles.
It’s not just another sports center; it’s a vibrant community playground filled with specially built soccer areas, mentoring programs, and life skills workshops designed to inspire and enhance the power of the next generation.
The space for innovation was developed with Culver City Football Club, a nonprofit that is dedicated to inspiring local kids through the power of football.
To commemorate the grand opening ceremony, Pulisic spent a vibrant and exciting day with local youth.
The lineup includes goals and skills meetings on the indoor course, Puma Cobra Golf-powered green, life-size chess battles, and guided stretching and fitness activities. Target? To stimulate creativity, strengthen the connection between confidence and forging, far beyond the realm.
“It has always been important for kids to create more opportunities to play their favorite games,” Prisic said in a press release shared with me. Sports Illustrated. “[Stomping Grounds] It is to give young people a safe space to grow, inspire and build confidence on the court. ”
After the pioneering success of Miami’s initial stampede (which has served over 950 children), the LA hub is designed to replicate and expand its impact on the West Coast.
“At Puma, we believe that sports can create the power of social change, and the Pulisic Legacy program for the reason for trampling directly reflects this mission,” said Tara McRae, North America president of PUMA North America. “We are proud to work with Christian to provide a permanent, community-led space that not only promotes competition but also promotes personal growth and guidance for the next generation.”
With the new Culver City facility, Prisic and Puma are more than just building football venues – they played in life at once.
