Nazem Kadri’s NMC may not have the way to move to Toronto, but that may not matter at all
Terry Coshan of Toronto Suns: Calgary Flame Center Nazem Kadri does not allow any transactions with Toronto Maple Leafs, a source said Wednesday. There is nothing to hint at any trade coming.
Sources added that Kadri doesn’t want to trade, likes to play in Calgary, and has not been asked to give up his NMC.
When the current Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving was Calgary’s general manager, he tried to trade for Kadri, but Kardi wouldn’t give up on his NTC. Treliving is able to sign Kadri in 2022 for a $7 million contract. Kardi will be 35 in October.

For this, the maple leaves don’t have much to offer flames or anyone else. There was no first-round pick in two years. They can offer Max Domi, Calle Jarnkrok, David Kampf, or Nick Robertson, but that may not move the needle.
