Mikel Arteta and new sports director Andrea Berta are reportedly keen to bring in new wingers this summer, prompting the Gunners to connect with Bavaria to find quality options.

It was reported that in early April, Arsenal had “fresh negotiations” with Sane and joined the free transfer.
However, according to Sky Dermany's Florian Plettenberg, Vincent Kompany's side made a formal contract proposal to Sane, who was recently called Bayern Player of the Month in March at the end of his sensationality over the campaign, and it's likely that the Germans might extend his stay – a blow to their pursuit.

After appearing to miss the 29-year-old, Arsenal then turned his attention to Coman, who expressed his desire to leave Bayern and was more likely to set off in seals.
The Saudi Arabian clubs, not to mention Tottenham's Arch rivals have also expressed interest – so it's not top-notch for Berta.
“Kingsley Coman has expressed his desire to leave this summer,” wrote Plettenberg on X.
“The Saudi club is now taking the matter seriously and plans to visit Munich for talks with Bayern. In England, Arsenal is the most specific option at the moment – especially since Leroy Sané is about to sign a contract with Bayern. The Spurs hope to sign Coman but are in the waiting position due to his high salary.”
Since then, Arsenal has begun negotiating with Coman's representatives, and the exchange is said to be “continuous” as the North Londoner tries to lure him into moving to the N5.
In these discussions, it is now believed that Bayern ace will likely be on Arteta – midfielder Joao Palhinha at £165,000 a week.

According to Caughtoffside, Palhinha will likely offer Arsenal as his representative sought a new landing point a year after joining Kompany – after the long Fulham Transfer Saga.
Portugal International has made only 21 appearances in all competitions, partly because Liverpool and Manchester United will also have the opportunity to reach a deal for the former Premier League star.
Bundesliga leaders may open to the sale of Palhinha as they currently prioritize the contract extension of Leon Goretzka, so availability for the 29-year-old is on the card.

“You need someone like in front of the defender.”
