Wimbledon 2025 results: Sonay Kartal defeats Viktoriya Tomova to enter the third round

After finishing her first serve in Game 6 of the opening, Kartal did get into her big stride, his opponent struggling to cope with some impressive titles before breaking in 5-2 for the first set.

In the second set, Tomova did not perform better in the second set as Kartal won the first four games to gain her dominance.

Tomova managed to break Qatar’s serve in Game 5, but that would only delay the British’s March victory.

Kartal’s next match is against World 15 Diana Shnaider or Diane Parry in the qualifiers.
