A fix for short game?

Is “Odyssey Fragments” the answer to your strange struggle?
All the technical discussions about how to shoot the camera around the green, the simple fact is that many of us still have a better nerve than bad technology. Usually, it depends on both.
The Jippel has been around for years and the Mustangs are still an iconic club, but over the past decade we have seen big manufacturers attend parties. Odyssey will release a new Chipper on July 27 and claims it is their best product yet.
Odyssey is trying more than most brands when helping those of us who suffer from some short game problems, and the 2025 product has been improved to more hybrid shapes. The idea is that players are happy to use a hybrid around the green because it is easy to raise the ball and make it run easily.
It is set like a putter. The typical lie angle for putters is about 70°; this chipper is 66°, so you will stand higher on the ball and use more swing strokes than more rounded debris techniques.
Why Odyssey chips can have an advantage
Two great features may make this a great purchase. First, it has a pushrod-like polymer insert. If you use a chipper, then there is less judgment on distance while getting the ball onboard is quite simple. With the help of a softer insert, this adds to the feeling of treating all the chips like long push rods.
Second, it has a step design that reduces the amount of soles that come into contact with the ground and encourages better interaction with the turf for better strikes.
The last neat piece of engineering is that it has a longer grip, which adds to the club’s versatility, while the three alignments on the back of the club further add to the putter feel.
The loft is wise to 37˚, which is similar to what you expect from an 8-iron, so you may not be able to use it at too much height, but it may be a good addition if you easily mess up what looks like the simplest chip.
The new Odyssey Chipper will be available in both men’s and women’s versions for £149 and is available for pre-order.
