Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has reached a new contract with al-Nassr after strongly suggesting he played his last game for the Saudi Pro League Club.
Transfer journalist Nicolo Schira said the five-time Boren de Ronaldo champion will extend his deal, which continues through the summer until this summer despite “several bids” from “around the world”.
Saudi officials are said to have participated in a “hard” speech last month to retain the country’s most high-profile player, with one of the top flight giants Al-Hilal reportedly signing the Portuguese captain in front of rival Al-Ahli.

Ronaldo, who worked for more than two years at Al-Nassr, did not win a trophy, strongly recommended leaving the club after his term ended on May 26.
The 40-year-old wrote on the day his side of the season ended, telling him hundreds of millions of social media followers: “This chapter is over. Story? Still writing. Thanks to everyone.”
AFP sources said at the time that the very wealthy Public Investment Fund (PIF) which is a major investor in the Saudi Professional League is in talks to “convince Ronaldo to stay and play”.
The media added: “The first option is to move to Al-Hilal and have the opportunity to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup or Asian champion Al-Ahli.”
The Sovereign Wealth Fund lags behind many Saudi sports investments and controls a group of professional league clubs including Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli.
Cristiano Ronaldo contract
Ronaldo’s report delay was the day after al-Nassr announced that manager Stefano Pioli had left, and the Italian star player thanked him via social media.
Portugal coach Roberto Martinez appointed Ronaldo in his National League last month, while Selecao’s all-time leading scorer scored in the semi-final against Germany, a final goal against Spain as his country became the champion.
The five-time Champions League champion scored 35 goals in 41 matches in all matches in 2024/25 and was the top scorer of the Saudi professional league for the consecutive season, although Al-Nassr scored 13 points in third place Al-Ittihad.
