Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford gestures

Alejandro Garnacho appears to have made a public swipe at Manchester United in his latest Instagram post, which has heightened speculation about his uncertain future at Old Trafford.
The Argentine winger is reportedly free to leave the club this summer after a frustrating campaign led by manager Ruben Amorim. Garnacho was especially beaten in Manchester United’s final victory over Tottenham Hotspur, and later had a feud with supporters during the club’s playoff tour.
Although his next step is unclear, Garnacho seems eager to make his feelings known.
In a series of photos of his vacation in Ibiza, one image caught the attention of fans: Garnacho was seen wearing an Aston villa shirt with the name and numbers of Marcus Rashford.
Rashford, like Garnacho, was frozen by Amorim last season. The England striker was on loan at Villa Park, where he began to rediscover the forms that once made him one of Manchester United’s most important players. It is now possible to withdraw permanently from Old Trafford, and Barcelona is reportedly interested in the club.
In response to Garnacho’s post, Rashford commented: “My brother.”
Although neither player is expected to stay longer for Manchester United, the gesture and Rashford’s approval both sparked backlash from the club’s fan base.
“For fans who support you in January, it’s funny, isn’t it?” one supporter wrote. “These football players have too much power.”
Another added: “So, you decided not to hit the head and prove yourself anymore, but to decide to wear a Rashford villa shirt in the back, which is a clear dig? The only thing is that the manager is right!”
With tensions clearly high, Garnacho’s posts may have deepened the gap between disillusioned fans and dissatisfied players – further highlighting the turbulence in United’s growth at United.
