Queen 2025: Jack Draper defeats in semifinals

Jack Draper’s hopes for winning the Queen ended with Jiri Lehecka, when Britain’s No. 1 semifinal was defeated.
The 23-year-old, who entered Sunday’s finals at Lehecka in West London, lost 6-4 4-6 7-5 in West London, will face top seeds Carlos Alcaraz or Roberto Bautista Agut.
Draper often starts slowly in this game before entering his groove and winning, but in this case he finds Lehecka is too much for him.
He was broken in the opening game, when the double mistake gave Lehacka an advance boost while the Czechs finished the first set well.
Draper failed to take advantage of four breakout points in the fourth inning of the second set, but he dug deeper and then broke Lehecka 5-4 for the first time, bringing things to the decider.
Since then, there is little to separate the two, but Lehecka has gotten a key break with a 5-5, and Draper’s frustration behind the clutch makes him better as he beats the racquets to the ad blocks.
Lehecka then stood out in the match to reach his fifth ATP Tour final and secured awaiting continued to win the British singles title since five-time champion Andy Murray won the latest win in 2016.
