Liverpool reportedly feared the future of Ibrahima Konate, whose current deal is closer to expiration.

The French defender is about to sign a new deal in the final year of Anfield’s contract, and there are currently no signs of a defender who has signed a new deal.

While there is an optimistic attitude around the club, which is due to new signings from Jeremiah Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, the future of Konate has also attracted attention for last season.

It is understood that Konate’s current contract is entering its final stages and Liverpool has not reached an agreement on the extension.

Liverpool worry about Ibrahim Connant’s future

Sources that evoke KOP hint at Anfield’s “center of gravity” as the club weighs the risk of losing key center guards for free.

The Premier League champions hope to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid in a similar way, hoping to avoid another similar situation.

Reporter Graeme Bailey provides the latest updates on the future of the 26-year-old centre-back.

“While Liverpool have been paying tribute to the new defender even before deciding to let Quansah go, Konate’s situation remains a dark cloud in Anfield’s summer recruiting program,” he said. Bailey told RTK.

“Liverpool is eager to agree with him on the new terms. They love the players and the way he improves is everything they want.”

Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi side Al Hilal are interested in signing the French international defender.

“Watching Trent Alexander-Arnold gets almost nothing, there is now a worry that they will lose a key player again, and Real Madrid is one of the admirers of Konate,” he said. Bailey confirmed.

“There are major concerns about Konate,” He added. “If I don’t agree to the new agreement, I’m told the club will consider selling.”

Just like the concerns about Konate Mount, Liverpool has surfaced and is currently the main alternative candidate at Crystal Palace.

The England international is impressed with both the domestic and international stages, with his contract until 2026, the Palace may negotiate a transfer this summer.

The contract talks with Konate can still get him into Anfield over the next few weeks, but the club may be focusing all on Guehi if no agreement is reached.
