Liverpool and FSG are now focusing on £100 million, signing ‘electric’ star with Wirtz

It felt like a transfer that all Liverpool fans were waiting to hear, a move by the club reportedly attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz.
The Premier League champions have not officially confirmed that they have agreed to sign a deal for Germany International, but they are reportedly close to doing so.
Latest information about Florian Wirtz to Liverpool
According to Fabrizio Romano, Wirtz will travel to England for medical tests after returning from the summer vacation, although it is not clear when and when it is exact.
Reporter claimed that Leverkusen and Liverpool had used all documents to transfer all documents from the German midfielder and were now waiting for him to complete medical tests before announcing the deal.
It was at the time of Romano’s report earlier this month that Arne Slot’s side had agreed to a fierce deal for the 22-year-old star, including £127 million.
Wirtz, who provided Leverkusen with 16 goals and 14 assists during the 2024/25 campaign, will be the club’s most expensive signing ever, eclipsing the £85 million they paid for Darwin Nunez in 2022.
The German midfielder, however, may not be the only Liverpool signing this summer, breaking a record set by Uruguay International to Anfield as the club is following another expensive attacker after Wirtz.
Liverpool’s attention move to £100 million Premier League star
FSG reportedly did not stop with the Leverkusen star as the Premier League champions were considering signing Newcastle United’s Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon before the end of the summer transfer window.
The report claims Liverpool are offering a move for England International to strengthen their options and could cost a huge £100 million to snap him up from St. James’Park.
Gordon spent some time at Liverpool’s academy before eventually making a breakthrough in Everton as the Reds stared at the Reds due to uncertainty about the future of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz.

Nunez “determines” to move forward from Anfield in Saudi Arabia’s interest, and Diaz is willing to explore his options as Barcelona is interested in signing him.
Liverpool held talks with Newcastle in the summer of 2024 to discuss Gordon’s deal but failed to reach a deal, and it seems they can hope to be lucky for the second time this summer.
The 24-year-old star former teammate Charlie Cresswell, who claims to have “electric” racing cars, is a tried-and-test Premier League performer who has made 150 appearances in the department so far and will likely run in Anfield on a new signing this summer.
If the club can get Gordon’s “electric” speed coupled with Wirtz’s impressive creativity and passing quality this summer, it’s possible to have an exciting new look attack on the 2025/26 campaign and elsewhere, if the club can get both deals this summer.
