The Magic have all first-round picks in the coming season

The Magic completed the seventh seed of the 2024-25 season with a record of 41-41. They lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

All 15 players in Orlando will sign all 15 players next season, but the team is expected to exceed the luxury tax since 2010-11, while on the second apron.

However, Magic has the flexibility of a $24 million non-guaranteed salary.

King Sacramento +600
Milwaukee Bucks +700
New Orleans Pelicans +750
Phoenix Sun +800
Philadelphia 76 people +1100
Chicago Bulls +1200

Orlando also has a $24 million team option, and it will not be exercised until June 29 for Moritz Wagner ($11 million), Gary Harris ($7.5 million), Caleb Houstan ($3.5 million) and Cory Joseph ($2.1 million).

So, what can magic provide Poole for Washington?

According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the Magic have all first-round picks in the coming season, and in 2026, their own first-round swap will be more favorable, between Phoenix and Washington (if it falls between 1-8). Orlando also has 13 second rounds.

It is possible to move Harris and Houstan into the deal for Poole.

Warriors trade Jordan Poole to Washington in 2023

Poole turned 26 on June 19 and was selected as 28 by the Golden State Warriors at the 2019 NBA Draft at the University of Michigan.

The 6-foot-4 guard spent 15.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists with Golden State in the first four seasons of his career.

Poole was once one of the young NBA outstanding figures when he helped lead the Warriors to the 2022 championship, leading the league with free throw percentage (92.5%) and finishing 15th with three-pointers (211).

However, in the 2023 offseason, the Warriors will be Poole, Patrick Baldwin Jr.

Poole may sign a three-year extension on October 1, $154 million

Poole remained underweight with the Wizards in his first season, shooting just 41.3% from 3-pointers after scoring 20.4 points in the 2022-23 Golden State game, and shooting 32.6%.

His trading stocks then climbed in 2024-25 as he averaged a career-high 20.5 points, hitting 43.2% on the floor, and a career-high 37.8%.

Poole will start the third season of his four-year 2025-26 contract. He plans to make $31.48 million next season and is expected to make $34.04 million in 2026-27.

Poole is eligible to sign a three-year extension starting October 1, with a $154 million extension.
