Tyson Miller, Bear Direct – MLB Trade Rumors

Right-handed Tyson Miller According to his deal tracker on MLB.com, the Cubs have completely unveiled the Cubs in triple Iowa. This suggests he cleared the waiver after being designated as an assignment last week. He has the right to elect a free agent, although it is not clear whether he will exercise that right.
He was a little surprised to see Miller play the role of the Flyer in a strong season. Last year, he recorded 62 innings for the Mariners and the Cubs, with only 2.32 runs. His strikeout rate of 23% is a league average that eases innings, while he only walks to 4.7% of batsmen.
He hasn’t had a chance to build up in the 2025 game here. He participated in the Tokyo Series with the Cubs but did not compete in the official Major League Game. He was on the injured list due to a left hip impact before domestic opening day. He has been recovering in recent weeks, with 2.77 ERA as ERA in 13 three-innings, but the Cubs don’t want to insert him into an active roster. Since he had no choice, it meant hitting him from 40 people.
Major League Baseball Club may not have much confidence that Miller can replicate last year’s results. His figures may be a bit lucky because his 0.203 hits averaged in the game, while the stock rate is 81.9%. Last year, his two fastballs also averaged less than 90 miles an hour, a level that is difficult to succeed in modern games.
In his recent recovery outing, despite his 2.77 ERA being good, his strikeout rate and walking rate of 15.5% are both below the standard figures. He managed to keep things going by not allowing any home runs, which was unsustainable in the larger sample.
Now it seems Miller is destined to do more minor league jobs, because no club is willing to give him a major league job. If Iowa takes the mission, or if he can head to free agents and look for opportunities elsewhere, that might be for Iowa.
