£61m ‘game-changing’ wants to join Chelsea

While the idea of “winning the transfer window” is a vague idea, it can be said that Chelsea is at least on the run this year.
The Conference League champions have made several wise sales this summer and have greatly supported Enzo Maresca’s core roster.
For example, Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap will all bring their goals to West London next season and can help the Blues get into the real Premier League title game.
However, Blueco hasn’t finished there yet, as the report now connects the club to an international star, who might be their answer to Rodrygo.
Chelsea Star, he may be his own Rodrigo
While Rodrygo was touted as Chelsea a few times this summer, their rivals are more connected with Real Madrid Stars, such as Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool.
Worryingly, the former Santos gem is the kind of player who can seriously improve these aspects, and the price tag seems to be about the £86 million mark, and it doesn’t seem unrealistic to have one of them masters sometime this summer.
But Bruce loyalists don’t have to worry, as it seems now that the club is closing down compared to the 24-year-old boy, probably Maresca’s own version.
At least this is based on the latest report by Transfers expert Fabrizio Romano, who reiterated that Chelsea is very interested in Xavi Simons this summer.
In fact, the Italian journalist revealed that the dialogue between the West Londoner and RB Leipzig is now in the “advanced” stage, and the Dutch have made it clear that he “want” the move.
Romano didn’t mention the potential price, but according to other stories of the month, about £61m should be enough to get the deal to make it, and while that’s a lot of money, it’s worth it for the quality players of Simons, especially when compared to Rodrygo.
How Simmons compares to Rodrigo
It is crucial to check the comparison with Rodrigo and where it comes from before exploring other reasons why Chelsea should sign Simmons as soon as possible.
In this case, it originated from FBREF, which analyzed players in similar positions in the Champions League last season and concluded that the Real Madrid star was the most similar attacking midfielder or winger for Leipzig ace.
You can better understand how to draw this conclusion by examining each other’s basic numbers for careful rankings, including but not limited to unexpected expected goals, assists, shots, key passes, tackles, tackle wins, successful takeaways, and more, all at 90.

These encouraging metrics are shared because they not only show that former PSV Eindhoven Gem is a man who can match the creativity of the Brazilian, but also his defensive work.
That being said, while being compared to one of the best wingers in the world, it is also excellent, but there are other reasons why Maresca and Co should sign a 22-year-old this summer, such as his original production.
For example, in the last season, with only 33 appearances, totaling 2,763 minutes, Amsterdam-born “game-changing” as talented scout Jacek Kulig played him, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists.
In other words, a sensational talent that an analyst calls “one of the 10 best players in the world” manages to average goals every 1.73 games or every 144 minutes.
Ultimately, even though he will spend a penny, Chelsea should do everything they can to sign Simmons this summer because he can not only be Rodrigo’s answer, but it can be better.
