3 Key Talks As Palmer Leads Blues to the Top Five

Chelsea returned to the top five in the Premier League after a 3-1 victory at Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The dominant champion suddenly stopped one of the most chaotic performances of the campaign during the celebrations of the past week. Enzo Fernandez's third-minute opener was set to be a one-sided event at Stamford Bridge. Virgil van Dijk inadvertently forced Jarell Quansah to score his own goal before cutting his own deficit in half.

Cole Palmer's 96th minute fine added a layer of shine to the score that Chelsea deserved for its main performance. Victory will naturally not change Liverpool’s position, but in the increasingly tense Champions League qualifiers, the host restored the host to the top five.

How the game is expanded

Liverpool's honorary defender has barely disbanded. Chelsea walked through their distant visitors within three minutes of the opening, skipping the right, and Pedro Neto rolled the ball onto the box to get Fernandez in.

Chelsea's Argentine midfielder had a lot of green grass in the free throw area to touch and calmly stroke Alisson's ball, and Liverpool still adapted to the six changes from Arne Slot.

Merseyside clothing struggled to settle. Liverpool has been monopolized to own, but there are fewer areas of any dangerous area on the stadium. The ninth minute of Robert Sanchez caught Cody Gakpo's tame effort was the only target for visitors over an hour.

Alisson is much busier. The Brazilian must remain vigilant to suffocate the close stabbing of Noni Madueke, who skipped Trent Alexander-Arnold throughout the hour. However, Alisson cannot avoid Jarell Quansah's comedy goal.

Cole Palmer enjoyed one of his best performances in a largely incredible calendar year and floated on the Stamford Bridge with a recovering sense of weightlessness. England International hangs out on the narration and sends the ball into a six-yard box, causing great damage, with Virgil Van Dijk plotting to announce the clearance outside Quansah and Alisson.

Chelsea can and maybe should expand its strengths as Liverpool goalkeepers and wood products reject the hosts. As fickle football fate possesses, the slot’s visitors scored the next goal of the game. Van Dijk took advantage of Chelsea's slight attempt to defend a scene to cut Liverpool's second shot from the field in the 85th minute to half.

The champions will not have the stands and they will hardly threaten to produce one. Instead, Palmer brought a kind ending to his 18-game drought, while the relentless Mess Caide won downtime.

The question of whether Enzo Maresca will hit the court with a top flight title in their first game is: “They won the Premier League, they deserve it.”

The crowd at Stamford Bridge was not so tolerant, greeting Liverpool players with a bold roar of disapproval, which drowned Chelsea's iconic walking music, Liquidator. The jokes quickly turned into wild cheers when Fernandez's goal restored the championship to Earth.

Like the reverse fixture, the Chelsea and Liverpool meeting was defined by a solo final between Cole Palmer and Curtis Jones. As Slot admitted at the time, the Reds had the upper hand at Anfield, mainly because Jones kept Palmer quiet: “He had a hard time controlling Cole Palmer, an incredible player with many qualities.

Slot was responsible for Jones in the same mark summary on Sunday, but Chelsea’s first two goals were the result of a British midfielder’s failure to play with his fellow countryman Muster. Jones lost two footholds in the half-time game twice, putting the ball into Palmer's big stride, giving Chelsea Talisman enough time and space to lay the foundation for Fernandez's opener and sparking chaos that ended with Quansah's own goal.

A tired Jones can only watch the breeze between Palmer and Connor Bradley in the closing ceremony, along the ammunition along the bypass, stabbing a bold poke from a mean angle inside the post.

Jones's only era was at least ten yards from Palmer at the decisive moment of the game, which was Liverpool midfielder watching his direct opponent with a free throw from downtime.

Enzo Fernandez

Enzo Fernandez

It was a chaotic movement for Enzo Fernandez. The season began with a quick sweep over racism, which allowed Argentina not only to escape the evil ode to the French national team, but also to win the position of Chelsea vice-captain.

Maresca quickly gave up her name before her reverse match against Liverpool at Chelsea in October. The manager explained bluntly: “We don’t have any essential players.”

Fernandez did his best to earn his noble status in the following six months. Although Palmer endured a slender dry spell, his midfield colleague was in red. Fernandez's third-minute strike represents his fifth straight goal against Chelsea in his last four games.

That's the consistency of the two-way display of boxing midfielders, Moises Caicedo (a player known as the best defensive midfielder in the world) is relegated to the right-back role.
