On Sunday at the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal course in Mexico, players will compete for the lion’s share of the 2025 World Skills Championship prize money.
Garrick Higgo is the leading candidate for the top prize of $1.08 million. Shego shot an impressive 11-under 61 in the third round to finish one shot ahead at 22-under.
But many other proven PGA Tour champions will try to knock Shego off the top of the leaderboard, including Ben Griffin. Griffin, a two-time winner in 2025 and a member of the U.S. Ryder Cup team, trailed Shego by two strokes in the final round. A comeback victory for Griffin would validate the fact that oddsmakers had him as a pregame betting favorite.
Prize money for this week’s World Technology Championship totals $6 million.
