During each offseason, each team has a restricted free agent roster and they need to be eligible to retain their rights through free agents.
Puckpedia describes the qualifying proposal as: “In order for the team to maintain the player’s RFA status, they must provide a qualifying offer. If they do not provide a qualifying offer, the player will become a UFA. A qualifying offer must be provided to the player later on Monday after Monday.
June 30 is the deadline and the team announced their roster of qualified players, all of which can be found here. Players who have not received the qualified offer will become unrestricted free agents at noon on July 1.
