The 2025 Memorial Championship serve has been officially confirmed as the first round, with 36 two goals announced at the PGA Tour Signature event action at the Muirfield Village Golf Club on Thursday.
Memorial Championship serve time: Defending champion Scottie Scheffler pairs Sepp Straka
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler took action again this week on the PGA Tour in hopes of defending his Memorial Championship title after winning his third major two weeks ago.
The American golf superstar won Jack Nicklaus’ historic event at Muirfield Village Golf Club 12 months ago and hopes to replicate the feat this year.
The rest of the field is also stacked together, with almost all the best players in the world acting. Among them are the likes of Ludvig Aberg, Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa, to name just a few. However, Rory McIlroy is missing Jack Nicklaus’ memorial this week.
The Northern Irish decided to sit in this week’s memorial game and instead chose to play at the U.S. Open the week before the U.S. Open next week. Jack Nicklaus said he did not miss his memorial game against Rory McIlroy, despite not playing this week.
In total, 72 players won the championship in the first round at the Muirfield Village Golf Club on Thursday, aiming to win the seventh and penultimate PGA Tour.
The full game this week will have a chance to win most of the $20 million memorial tournament prize. Not to mention the final winner’s 700 FedEx Cup points.
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler kicked off his memorial contest at 1.30 p.m. on Thursday, 10.15 a.m. on Friday at 2 a.m. In the first two rounds, he paired with recent Truist champion Sepp Straka.

There are many other interesting topic groups at the 2025 Memorial Championships that stand out from the first hole of just two goals.
The Pro Grand Slam Chase Jordan Spieth is one of them as he won the first 18 holes of two-time champion Xander Schauffele, who also has the lowest PGA title record in history. They kicked off at around 10:05 am on the first and second rounds Friday.
Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg are another group in the first 36 holes of the memorial tournament. They kicked off from their first tee on Thursday and at 1.30 pm on Friday.
Former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama paired with two-time main champion Collin Morikawa for two-round starts. They kicked off the first hole at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and again won the second round in the second round on Friday.
Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay (1.20pm/10.05am), Russell Henley and Keegan Bradley (1.40pm/10.30am) and Justin Rose and Justin Rose and Daniel Berger (8.20am/11.30am) are the other three in the memorial matches of Round 1 and 2 and Round 2.
