Is this how Team USA lined up on the first day?

After the first session of the Ryder Cup, the last time Europe led, you would have to go back to 2006. All the topics about Americans’ hopelessness in the four-person system, these statistics paint different pictures.
The Americans have stood out in a four-man fashion in the past four home games, which is great for them.
In 2021, they open in alternate shooting format and lead the Whistle Channel 3-1. In 2016, under David Love III, they beat the board 4-0 and ended 2-2 in Medinah in 2012.
This also gives the host a two-point advantage when we look back at Valhalla and Paul Azinger’s management in 2008.
Between Celtic Manor (2010) and Gleneagles (2014), the Americans led the opening ceremony, in Paris, in Paris, in Paris, how Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari avoided the second consecutive Friday morning whitewash in the four-ball game.
So if you are a European fan, be aware that Americans will be hot. Then, in the ridiculous context of Bethpage Black on Long Island, in a (non-playing) captain of Keegan Bradley who lives and breathes the game, you will have a great recipe to win the Ryder Cup.
There will be a lot of game in the air, who will play when and where, and now that we know the U.S. lineup, let’s start with the opening ceremony of Friday’s four-player pairing.
1) Bryson DeChambeau and Cam Young
Nowadays, the rules of the four-man ball are slightly different because a pair doesn’t have to stick with one ball to play.
Player 1 can use his ball on one hole, and Player 2 can use their ball in the next hole, but obviously they have to make a replacement shot from there.
DeChambeau has been vocal about his ball preference lately, he has less demand for the ball and flew more straighter, and he recently played the Pro V1X double point, which happened to be the same goal Young won the Wyndham Championship.
Young is a rookie, but that doesn’t matter anymore. He has played in the 18-place Grand Slam and is the latest champion on the tour.
He is also a former course record holder for Bethpage Black, winning 64 New York Open titles in 2017 and will not be more popular on the scene all week.
And if you want some first energy, Bryson is definitely your man.
2) Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley
Scheffler may play with Henley or Sam Burns and we will play with the former. The two are good friends, their wives are friends, and they joined forces last year at the Presidents Cup.
Henley was happy to get used to the use of X-balls in Montreal in Henley – both of them took the others in practice for the whole week.
Given how strong Henry is currently playing, he ranks fifth in the data golf rankings, which should be explosives on paper.
We don’t need statistics to understand that anyone with Scheffler will be of quality, but if things do, Henley hardly misses the fairway, and Scheffler’s Iron Game is obviously out of the rankings. All of this is a good start and is ideal for intermediate order.

3) Sam Burns and Collin Morikawa
Burns spent most of his time with Scheffler, but he had worked with Morikawa twice, once in the Presidents Cup and on Saturday Fours in Rome.
Two times they finally won. In Italy, they got better from Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg, which helped to make the Americans’ faintest hope before singles.
The statement is obvious that Burns pushed the lights away, and Morrikava’s iron game remains a key advantage, so if they can do the job in New York and give Burns a birdie putt, it seems like another obvious pairing.
4) Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele
Speaking of these two are the most popular pairings. Roma would rather break their flawless four-piece record, but they will likely be paired as anchors in September.
On these two tetrahedrals, the whistling strait is the last case (insert jokes about Cantlay’s game rhythm), which gives Bradley a lot of options to give four balls a pair of openings that don’t require a lot of guidance.
You can almost hear the team talk now, Captain Bradley doesn’t even need to finish the sentence.
“Fourth, Xander and Patti… (high five, go directly to game mode)”
Don’t play
This left Ben Griffin and his Maxfli ball unimpeded and made their debut on their own terms. Similarly, JJ Spaun. Then we have Harris English, who seems to like four balls, best with a big hit partner, and then Justin Thomas.
You would imagine Bradley would rely on Thomas, now the most experienced player on the U.S. side, who will fall down on the first serving area on Friday morning and then stand out in a four-ball game to make the crowd even more excited.
